RACE 1
12.20pm Racing.com Maribyrnong Plate 1000m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

6. POWER UP RISE
By More Than Ready, he will be suited to the distance and young start. Won jumpout 27/10 well.

1. DALRADIAN
Unbeaten from two runs & won at this distance well last start.

5. POWER TRIP
Good trial

MAIN DANGER

2. VALLIANO
Sound in two runs so far. Drawn similar here but has some competition against some impressive trials.

RACE 2
1.00pm Starlight Children’s Foundation Plate 2000m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

10. DIVAN (NZ)
He’s drawn to get the perfect run here and is dangerous with only 54kg. He ran well in Group 3 company last start and drops back to a BM90 here. Take out his one run where he was scopes with mucous and his record is impressive. Has won at 2000m.

4. VELOX (GB)
In form and dropping back from black type here. Goes up 4.5kg here but has won well with 59kg previously on a soft track.

11. HAVE PLENTY
Boasts a good win strike rate. He was good win from the tail of the field last start. Up in grade here but is proven at the distance. He has won on a heavy track.

MAIN DANGER

5. OKAHU BAY
Phillip Stokes has a good strike rate when bringing his horses over here. He’s in form but barrier 12 makes it a bit trickier for him vs some of the other runners here.

RACE 3
1.40pm Queen’s Cup 2600m
Speed: Slow
Most advantaged: On pace

3. SECRET NUMBER
He rarely runs bad and has been freshened up here. He has a good strike rate on soft tracks and 2400m+. He is drawn to get a nice run on the pace and with a slow pace predicted here he should be hard to beat.

1. BEATEN UP (GB)
Good run in the Group 1 Metropolitan where he finished second behind Magic Hurricane. He comes back to Group 3 company here and the extra distance suits.

2. DANDINO (GB)
He was good in the Geelong Cup and 2600m suits here. He may need more speed in the race to win but on his Geelong Cup run he should be competitive.
MAIN DANGER

4. BONFIRE (GB)
On his Grafton Cup win he is a chance but he will need to lift.

RACE 4
2.20pm Hilton Hotels & Resorts Stakes 1400m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

1. DEMONSTRATE
He’s in form and 1400m here suits, he didn’t appear to be suited to the straight when he was here last and ran on well at Moonee Valley on a leaders bias day. He has a good record on a soft track and should get a good run behind the leaders.

2. SECRET PROPHET (NZ)
Won maiden easily on debut and has been running well since. This is a step up in class and if he can overcome barrier 10 he will be competitive.

3. LES DARCI (NZ)
He has finished in the trifecta all three of his starts and drops 4kg here. He won well from the tail of the field last outing.

MAIN DANGER

10. PALENTINO
Dangerous with only 54.5kg here and has winning combination of Weir/Payne.

RACE 5
3.00pm Antler Luggage Handicap 1600m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

10. INSPECTOR
He has a good record in the wet and has won at 1600m in his last outing. Overcame a wide barrier two starts ago to finish second.

12. KING’S DANCE
Great record at the distance and second up. Ran well from a wide barrier when resuming and unfortunately has drawn barrier 12 again here.

6. DEFIANT ANGEL
He has won three from 7 at the distance. He hasn’t won on a good track from 6 outings but has on heavy. Drawn well with barrier 5 here.

MAIN DANGER

4. SETINUM
He ran really well two starts back in Listed company from a wide barrier. He has drawn better here and drops down in grade but will need to lift.

RACE 6
3.40pm Darley Classic 1200m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

2. CHAUTAUQUA
He has a great record overall and has been flying at WFA. He has never finished outside the quinella at this track and distance. Unbeaten this prep, his wins have all been impressive. This race looks like there will be enough speed for him to overcome the field easily.

8. SRIKANDI
Good in the Manikato where she ran second to Chautauqua. She has a good overall win strike rate at the distance and has won second up.

10. LUMOSTY
She was good when resuming and has a fantastic win strike rate at Flemington and second up. She has drawn the widest here and will need that to be of advantage to overcome some of these other contenders.

MAIN DANGER

7. DELECTATION
He was only 1L off Chautauqua in the Gilgai when they were at equal weights which he gets here as well. No wins at Flemington but has ran second here on two occasions. He has a good record at the 1200m.

RACE 7
4.20pm Emirates Stakes 1600m
Speed: Fast
Most advantaged: Off pace

5. DISPOSITION
He will be behind the pace and there looks to be enough speed in this race for him to win. He loves Flemington and drops down to a dangerous 54.5kg here. He drew widest in his last outing, sat at the tail and won well. He was only 0.1L off Stratum Star in the Rupert Clarke.

11. POLITENESS
Unbeaten this prep. She won very impressively last start and drops 4kg here. She has a great record on soft tracks (4: 2-0-1) and has drawn well. The pace of the race will suit.

3. TURN ME LOOSE (NZ)
Running well since coming over to Australia. Unbeaten at the distance but he will be sitting on the speed here and could get overrun.

MAIN DANGERS

1. LUCKY HUSSLER
Huge win in the Toorak. No wins at Flemington but has placed twice. He hasn’t been on a soft track for a long time but has won on a Soft 7.

RACE 8
5.05pm Presto Matriarch Stakes 2000m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

13. ZARZALI
Good win on Tuesday. She has drawn barrier 1 here again which should be to advantage with the rail out 6m. She will get a similar run here but this is harder.

3. ORIENTAL LADY (GER)
Sound with 60kg last start, she drops down to 57.5kg here but has drawn barrier 18.

1. LUCIA VALENTINA
She comes back to Mares grade here which she hasn’t been in for a long time.  She goes up in the weights and has drawn wide but this is easier than the Caulfield Cup!
MAIN DANGER

8. MANAGERESS
Usually there abouts and likes Flemington but this is harder. Barrier 10 suits, she will be off the pace. A usual each way chance.

RACE 9
5.40pm Emirates Airline Handicap 1400m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

9. MALAGUERRA
Absolutely flying this prep. He drops down to 54kg here and the speed should suit. He will be up near the pace from barrier 7 and could be hard to beat with the light weight. He won with 61kg when resuming this prep where he got caught in traffic.

2. MIRAGE
He has a great strike rate at the distance (4: 2-1-0) and has won second up. I don’t like the wide barrier but he ran soundly from barrier 12 when resuming last start.

3. RELDAS
Unbeaten this prep and has won 2 from 4 at the distance. If he handles the wet track he is definitely a contender.

MAIN DANGER

7. LONGERON
Sits on the pace and has been known to run away. He had a strong prep last time out and can fill the placings first up.
