Race 1
11.35AM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Not clear

5. HOLY RAISE
He debuted well making ground late after settling near the tail of the field. That was on heavy ground.

3. EXPEDIUS
He’s very consistent with his only average run this prep being when he took a sit over 1400m two starts back. He has drawn wide here but he’s very consistent and has race fitness.

7. SCIPIO
Jumped out decently, out of All Too Hard. Damien Oliver takes the ride.

SAVER
6. PRINCE OF CAVIAR
Well bred, jumped out nicely. All eyes will be on the son of Black Caviar.

Race 2
12.10PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Fast

1. PRINCETON SPIRIT (NZ)
He won here last start and besides his debut, all of his starts have been over 1200m. Ethan Brown stays on. He’s won 4 of his 5 starts and is too consistent to leave out.

19. TAHI (NZ)
He looked smart in his first prep winning comfortably on debut then only just missing down the straight at Flemington. The draw is a disadvantage but I’d include him each way.

9. HIGHLAND BEAT
He hasn’t won for almost a year but did win at his only start here which was over 1200m. He comes back to dry ground here after getting too far back from a bad draw last start. There does look to be a bit of speed in this which will suit him, he should get a nice trail just off the main speed.

SAVER
3. ARTIE DEE TWO
Out of seven starts over 1200m, four have been wins. He’s third up here and has drawn well. He won last start on a heavy surface when sitting up on the speed but with a bit of pace on paper he may take a bit of a sit here. He has beaten Ken’s Dream over this trip.

Race 3
12.50PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Exotics Handicap 2400m
Predicted speed: Even

8. LYCURGUS
He was an impressive and dominant winner on the hillside track earlier in the month over this trip and can go on. He has a strong 2400m record and gets a bit of weight relief with the step up in grade.

6. MY PSYCHIATRIST
She resumed well with a solid win here then looked flat second up but her second up record isn’t strong. She wasn’t far off Etah James third up last prep over this trip with Ben Thompson on who goes back on here. She’s an each way chance at decent odds.

11. NOUMEA (IRE)
He ran averagely last start in the wet and comes back to drier ground here. He has a good record over 2400m and Regan Bayliss goes on.

SAVER
1. EXALTED LIGHTNING
He resumed well making ground behind the smart Yogi and has won second up. He is very consistent and a good stayer.

Race 4
1.30PM Ladbrokes Australian Steeplechase 3400m
Predicted speed: Even

1. GOLD MEDALS (NZ)
He’s a very good steeplechaser and has twice won over 3400m. He was very impressive during the Warrnambool carnival winning the Brierly then backing up two days later to take out the Grand Annual.

10. KING KAMADA (NZ)
He put in a brave fight last start only just missing. He has finished second in his last three outings and looks close to a win.

6. THE DOMINATOR (NZ)
He was a strong winning in his steeple debut last start over this trip leading the whole way. John Allen goes on.

SAVER
9. GETTING LEGGIE
He’s a good jumper and has been running well this prep. Rain would help him but he’s still effective on a dry track. He’ll be up near the speed.

Race 5
2.10PM Ladbrokes Australian Hurdle 3400m
Predicted speed: Even

7. SELF SENSE
He was a big 10L winner in his maiden hurdle three starts back then won well on the flat. He drew wide last start again and did a bit of work but ran well. He’s fit, consistent and looks a smart jumper.

8. FOUR CARAT (GER)
He won well in his second hurdle attempt last start and will be better for the experience. He has the fitness to be competitive.

4. HONEY STEEL’S GOLD
He’s a consistent jumper and was a big hurdle winner two starts back. He finished third in this race last year.

SAVER
2. TWO HATS
He’s a consistent jumper with his only top two miss being a fall two starts back. He’s likely to be up on the speed and was a dominant winner last start.

Race 6
2.50PM Ladbrokes Cash Out Handicap 2100m
Predicted speed: Even

1. LUCKY FOR ALL (NZ)
He’s unbeaten this prep since changing stables and was very impressive running on strongly to win by 3L last start when stepping out to 2000m for the first time. He looks smart and one of the strong chances of the day.

9. PURE SCOT
She comes back in grade after only a fair run in Group 1 company last start. She ran soundly prior and is an each way chance in this company.

4. NOTHIN’ LEICA HIGH
He made ground first up to win with 60kg then ran on soundly second up when blocked for a run. He was outclassed last start in Group 1 company so forget that run.

SAVER
11. MAZZURO (NZ)
He was a strong winner last start and the in form Jye McNeil goes on. He has drawn wide here but did take a sit last start and may again here. This is his third up Australian start.

Race 7
3.28PM Samson Handicap 1400m
Predicted Speed: Even

8. GALAXY RAIDER
He’s in fantastic form this prep and has a good record here including a strong win over this trip two starts back. Regan Bayliss goes on. He put in a good fight last start but only just missed on the line.

7. URBAN RULER
He wasn’t wound up first up and used most of his energy playing up pre-race. He will be fitter from that and out to 1400m suits. Jye McNeil goes on, he’s in fantastic form for Cadet Lodge.

2. PEACOCK
He was run down late last start but his two runs prior were very good. He’ll be up on the speed and comes in a few barriers with the scratchings. He carried 60kg bravely two starts back so the 59kg is no worry. Back out to 1400m suits.

SAVER
9. JAWS OF STEEL
He’s won his last two outings this prep and has drawn for a similar run here. He’s in good form and is one of many chances in this.

Race 8
4.05PM Ladbrokes Info Hub Handicap 1600m
Predicted speed: Even

1. PALAZZO VECCHIO
She’s very consistent and ran very well in Group 2 company earlier this prep placing twice. She comes back to 1600m which is no disadvantage 4 weeks between runs.

4. HONEY ESPRIT
She’s in good form and wasn’t far off French Emotion three starts back over this trip. She maps for a good run and looks a solid chance.

7. TRULY DISCREET
She showed a very good fight to hold on for third last start and forgiving her miss before that, her two other runs prior were also good. She has drawn wide in this but Luke Currie goes on.

SAVER
8. SMOOTH LANDING
The Snitzel filly was only 1L off Peaceful State two starts back and she comes back from Listed to BM78 company here and gets some weight relief after Fred Kersley’s claim.

Race 9
4.40PM Ladbrokes Multimaker Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Fast

1. FIFTY STARS (IRE)
He’s unbeaten to date with all wins being very good. He took a sit at his first two starts running on strongly then lead the whole way on the hillside track last start when getting out to this trip.

5. ANDAZ
He ran very well on the hillside track last start finishing 1.5L behind Fifty Stars who he meets again here but better at the weights. There looks to be enough speed to benefit him and off his run last start he looks a very solid chance.

2. LORD SUNDOWNER
Forgiving his last start when he had a slow recovery, his two runs prior were very good. He ran well behind the smart Iconoclasm earlier in the month. He has run well in black type over this trip and has drawn well here.

SAVER
3. EXCELTARA
His last start win was very impressive, he has a good overall record and can go on here.
