RACE 1
1.00pm Santa’s Magical Kingdom Stakes 1000m
Speed: Slow
Most advantaged: On pace

7. MISSROCK
Good on debut winning from the tail of the field then good again last start in Group 3 company. She comes back to Listed type here.

11. SWEET VARDEN
Good trial

10. SOVIET SECRET
Good winning trial here a fortnight ago

MAIN DANGER

6. EMPHATICALLY
She’s going well in trackwork and has the speed to be in the finish

RACE 2
1.35pm City of Greater Dandenong Stakes 1400m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

5. INDARRA (NZ)
Still a maiden but getting close to winning! In form jockey Mark Zahra jumps on and this looks slightly easier.

4. QUEEN OF WANDS
Going well this prep, and likes Sandown. She wasn’t far off Jameka last prep in Group 2 company.

6. IRADA
Good when resuming, a bit average last time. Third up here but she could get caught on the rails from barrier 1 at the tail of the field.

MAIN DANGER

9. RUSSIAN EMPRESS
She won her trial last outing by 6L. The 1400m will suit.

RACE 3
2.10pm Kevin Heffernan Stakes 1300m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

4. UNDER THE LOUVRE
Racing consistently but just not getting to the line in time. He stepped back in distance last start and ran averagely. The extra 100m and drop in grade suits.

1. SMOKIN’ JOEY
Proven at the track, distance and first up. He has won at WFA and will should be box seated to be in the finish here.

3. GENERALIFE
This is his distance. He has never finished outside the trifecta at 1300m and will get a perfect run from barrier 6.

MAIN DANGER

8. JAVA
Unbeaten at Sandown and at this track & distance. All wins have been on a dry surface. Forgive his last outing where he drew the carpark.

RACE 4
2.45pm Sandown Stakes 1500m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

10. HARADA BAY
He was good in the Sale Cup and is flying. He stays down in the weights here and keeps S.King on board. The wide barrier should mean an unblocked run.

6. HOSTING
Going well and making ground in two outings this prep but may need more speed on to win here. He has won at Sandown and will be running on.

2. CHARMED HARMONY
Going well but hearing the end of his prep. Drawn much better here for an easier lead, he had to work hard in the Chatham Stakes. Always a consistent runner.

MAIN DANGER

12. TASHBEEH
Ridden a lot quieter last start from a wide barrier and finished off well. He has drawn 2 here and should finish closer.

RACE 5
3.25pm Quayclean Zipping Classic 2400m
Speed: Slow
Most advantaged: On pace

6. RISING ROMANCE (NZ)
She was very good in the Mackinnon from a wide barrier and drops to Group 2 company here. She was average in the Caulfield Cup at this distance but hasn’t missed the top two in her other three tries. There looks to be no pace in this race and she will be up near the speed.

4. TALL SHIP (IRE)
He is looking for the extra distance and is unbeaten at 2400m. He won the Warrnambool Cup at 2350m but that was on heavy ground. He goes up to 59kg with WFA.

5. DON DOREMO (NZ)
He will be up on the pace and with no speed can be too good here. He was good in the Queen’s Cup. He comes to WFA.

MAIN DANGER

2. WHO SHOT THEBARMAN (NZ)
Average in the Melbourne Cup this year but made good ground in the Caulfield Cup previously. He won the Bart Cummings last year at 2500m then ran third in the 2014 Melbourne Cup.

RACE 6
4.00pm Mypunter.com Eclipse Stakes 1800m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

5. MALICE
Two seconds from two tries at this distance, he finished only 3.7L off Winx in the Epsom (half of the Cox Plate with 3+ lengths off her!) so he certainly has the class. All wins have come off a dry track and he will be just behind the pace, barrier 6 suits.

11. CASINO DANCER
She finished only 1.5L off Lucia Valentina last week. She’s down to 54kg here but has drawn wide. She won the Group 3 Angst in Randwick last month.

12. SLATE ON EDGE
Very good in the Greys race on Oaks Day with 59kg. He drops 5kg here and will be up on the speed.

MAIN DANGER
10. TRISTRAM’S SUN (NZ)
He loves Sandown! Three wins from 5 outings! He won the Kyneton Cup well from the widest barrier and has drawn wide again here. A must for multiples based on his track record, he is running very consistently.

RACE 7
4.40pm William Hill Sandown Guineas 1600m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

2. MAHUTA
First prep but he is flying. The wide barrier isn’t ideal and he will be working early to be on the pace but based on his recent runs he is up to this.

4. DEMONSTRATE
Flying this prep, he keeps J.McDonald on after a great run last week. He has drawn much better with barrier 3 here.

12. DON’T DOUBT MAMMA
Very good in the Lexus on Cup Day. She stays down at 55kg here and will be off the pace.

MAIN DANGERS
6. PATCH ADAMS
Ran well behind Mahuta in the Carbine Club. Drawing out here helps,

RACE 8
5.20pm William Hill Sandown Cup 3200m
Speed: Slow
Most advantaged: On pace

1. THE OFFER
He has 60kg here but won the Bendigo Cup well with 59kg. He then went on to run impressively in the Melbourne Cup where he finished 8th. He has won at the distance and will be up near the speed in what appears to be a slow pace. The race should suit him well.

5. DE LITTLE ENGINE
So impressive at Flemington on Cup Day, but he had the on pace speed needed. I don’t think he’ll get it here but he loves Sandown, drops 3kg and always runs so consistently.

6. LIKE A CAROUSEL
Running well but looking for further which he gets here today. He’s had two starts at Sandown for a first and second. His record at the distance is okay (5: 0-2-1).

MAIN DANGER
2. ALMOONQITH (USA)
He won the Geelong Cup in great style but then was average in the Melbourne Cup. This is a lot easier here. He shoots up in the weights but if he produces the class he showed at Geelong he will be competitive.

RACE 9
5.55pm Le Pine Funerals Summoned Stakes 1500m
Speed: Fast
Most advantaged: Off pace

5. SHE’S CLEAN
She has a good record at SWP and she produced a huge run in the Maybe Mahal. I like her drawing out a bit here and she meets Scarlet Billows better at the weights after their last clash.

3. CORONATION SHALLAN
Ran okay in the Emirates, that was her first try in a Group 1. She previously won the Group 3 Tesio against a quality field. She will be up on the speed but there could be too much speed here for her to keep up the pace enough to win.

4. SCARLET BILLOWS
The pace should suit her here, she will be off the speed but not right at the tail. She won the Maybe Mahal well and shoots up 3kg here.

MAIN DANGER

11. MOSSBEAT
Always so consistent, ran well when caught up in the Black Pearl last outing and stays at 55kg. She has run well at Sandown before and comes into barrier 16 after the scratchings. A must for multiples.
