Race 1
11.55AM VRC Recognition Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

8. ABSOLUTE HEAVEN
She’s progressing well forgiving last start on a tight track when she took a sit from the wide draw. She comes back to 1400m here and did run well behind over this trip here two starts back finishing only 0.1L off Remember The Name. She has drawn well and should be up near the speed.

6. SHALWA (NZ)
She’s third up off two second placings and looks close to a win. She is rarely far away and ran a solid 2nd here over 1400m back in January. Michael Walker goes on.

1. MAGNESIUM ROSE
She goes up in the weights off a sound win last week. She is untried over 1400m. Noel Callow stays on and the big track should suit her.

SAVER
3. NAANTALI (NZ)
She’s very consistent and Damien Lane takes the ride in this. Forgive her only start here when she was ridden up on the speed, she has been ridden back in her last two on wetter tracks for good results. She can carry weight and the extra trip looks like it will suit now.

Race 2
12.30PM Rising Stars Final 1700m
Predicted speed: Fast

7. SO SPLENDID (NZ)
She’s third up off two solid seconds. She has the fitness, this is her home track and she gets a big drop in the weights. There looks to be enough speed to suit her.

4. ANOTHER BULLSEYE
She comes back to fillies & mares grade in this and out to 1700m should suit. She won over 1600m here back in May beating Galaxy Raider. She gets some weight relief.

6. LINGUIST
Forgive her last two starts where she hasn’t appeared to handled Moonee Valley. She has won here over 1700m and she’s in light. She has drawn for a good run just off the main speed. She beat Silvera three starts back who has won twice since.

SAVER
1. MILES OF KRISHAN
She’s in good form though 1700m is a bit of a query. Forgive her here last start when she faced the breeze most of the way, she held on well.  She likes Flemington and has run well at 1600m.

Race 3
1.05PM Vale Jack Franklin Handicap 2500m
Predicted speed: Even

4. CROCODILE ROCK (IRE)
He has a very good first up record and very consistent overall form. He wasn’t far off Alward first up last prep carrying 60.5kg. He likes Flemington and wasn’t far off Almandin at the end of last prep over this trip. He has drawn well but is noted as going to take a sit. He shouldn’t get too far away in the smallish field.

2. FALAGO
He won well here last start over 2600m and does like Flemington. He comes up in the weights but Ethan Brown’s claim does help.

5. RED ALTO
He hasn’t won for almost a year (surprisingly it was over 1200m here – his only Flemington win!) but he’s rarely far away. He doesn’t have the strongest record at Flemington but does have the fitness to be in the finish.

SAVER
8. THUNDER CLOUD
He’s in fantastic form having won 4 of his last 6 starts and placing in the other two. He was a solid winner last start over 2100m and steps out to 2500m in this. He will likely take a sit but he does have a good turn of foot so the big track should suit him.

Race 4
1.40PM Flemington Event Staff Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Fast

16. TAHI (NZ)
He was a strong winner last start with the blinkers going on and he can go on here. He has the fitness, he did run a solid 2nd down the straight this day last year though he did lead in that. He has been taking more of a sit this prep, if he goes back in this there definitely looks to be enough speed to suit and he can be in the finish.

7. MYSTIFIED
She’s in fantastic form and a led the whole way last start to win over this trip. Damien Oliver goes on and she has drawn out which can be a positive down the straight. She has run well in higher grade and is an each way chance here.

11. JACKSON
Tony McEvoy’s stable is in good form. He ran a very solid third here last February in Listed grade and should get a nice run here. He has won first up.

SAVER
5. ARTIE DEE TWO
This is his first time down the straight but he is quite consistent. He has run well in this grade at his last few outings but is a bit hard to map as he does mix up his pattern. He is good enough and if he handles the straight he is one to include.

Race 5
2.15PM Byerley Handicap 1800m
Predicted speed: Slow

6. SO YOU SWING
The filly out of So You Think only has two starts to her name but she won impressively on debut then ran a solid 2nd at Sandown at her second start. Damien Thornton stays on and this is her first time on drier ground. She steps out to 1800m

1. FUN FACT
He has no bad runs to date. He’s third up off a sound maiden win last start when stepping out to 1600m. Dwayne Dunn goes on, this is his home track and he should be up on the speed again.

2. VISAO
He was an impressive maiden winner second up. Damian Lane goes on.

SAVER
3. LIFT (NZ)
He made good ground late on debut and will be better for that run. That was on a heavy 8 and he comes to drier ground here. Out further looks like it will suit.

Race 6
2.55PM TAB/ATA Trainers’ Trust Handicap 1100m
Predicted speed: Even

1. BRAVE SONG
He resumes a gelding and looks a good chance. He was only 3L off Kementari last prep in Group 3 grade. Dry ground is a tick. He has a good first up record and was a strong winner first up last prep.

6. DOUBLE JEOPARDY
He runs well here and ran soundly behind Nature Strip over this trip two starts back with Andrew Mallyon on. He gets some weight relief from last start and will find this easier. He should get a nice run just off the main speed.

2. DUCIMUS
He ran very well first up down the straight then was quite average last start on the windy day. That’s forgivable. He’s third up and Ben Allen goes on. Back to dry ground suits. He has a good 1100m record.

SAVER
4. ORDER OF COMMAND
Off his run last start he looks close to another win. He made ground late to finish only 1.5L off Nature Strip. He gets a bit of weight relief and Noel Callow goes on. Coming back to 1100m is a bit of a query but he is definitely good enough to be amongst the finish.

Race 7
3.35PM Murray Cox Handicap 1600m
Predicted Speed: Even

5. STREETS OF AVALON
He backs up in this off a strong second last Saturday. He appears to be looking for more ground and he will get it here stepping out to 1600m. He’s in good form and does tend to hold form for a bit when he finds it.

2. MR MONEY BAGS
He likes Flemington and was a sound winner here last start over this trip. Jye McNeil stays on, he has drawn well and should get a nice trail.

3. AL PASSEM
He backs up in this off a forgivable run last start when he got a bit of a squeeze. It did look to be a swoopers race though. His only other run over 1600m was the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas where he finished a long way off. Ethan Brown goes on. If he runs up to his effort two starts back he can be in the finish.

SAVER
4. NIGHT FALLS
He comes to city grade here and is likely to be quite popular. He was a very comfortably 4.7L winner last start over 1500m and has only missed the trifecta once in his 9 starts. Damian Lane has a good record on him and 1600m looks no issue.

Race 8
4.15PM K.A. Morrison Handicap 2000m
Predicted speed: Even

6. SIXTIES GROOVE (IRE)
He was a solid winner here last start when stepping out to this trip. He had the perfect ride just off the speed and sprinted away to win by 3.25L. He’s unbeaten over 2000m and Damian Lane goes on.

3. TRAP FOR FOOLS
He was good on debut off a bit of an unlucky run and is third up in this. He should improve here stepping out in trip and should be up near the speed.

14. JAAMEH (IRE)
His debit for Lindsay Park back in April was impressive. He ran on very strongly from near the tail of the field to win. All reports sound promising for here and he is in light. Onto a big track should suit.

SAVER
1. PACODALI (IRE)
He’s unbeaten at Flemington from two starts and runs a very solid 2000m. Ethan Brown stays on from a good winning ride last start. He looks a strong chance and boasts a win over Almandin.

Race 9
4.50PM VRC Thanks Terry Bailey Handicap 1000m
Predicted speed: Even

5. WISE HERO
He has a good Flemington record and Damian Lane goes back on. He was on two starts back for a solid placing. He comes back in trip but gets the blinkers on.

2. ROCKET TOMMY
He loves Flemington! He doesn’t have the strongest second up record so I’m happy to forgive his last start effort. Back to 1000m suits, 7 of his 8 runs have been over this trip. He does have to carry 60.5kg but he is so honest down the straight.

8. NORDIC EMPIRE
He’s in good form. He ran a close 2nd first up then won his next two outings beating Demolition both times who came out and won last week. He’s under the limit in this with Stephanie Thornton’s claim and will be up on the speed.

SAVER
4. INVINCIBLE AL
He was a dominant winner last start and stays down in the weights here with Nathan Punch’s claim. He has won down the straight and the stable is in good form. Back onto dry ground is a tick.
