Race 1
Ian Miller Handicap 2000m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

5. TUFF HOST
He has had three good runs in this prep and looks set to have another here. His win last time out was impressive and he has a good record at 2000m. The even pace looks to suit and D.Stackhouse stays on from that last run.

4. MR JOURNEYMAN
He’s in form but sneaks up in the weights here coming into town. If they slow down mid-race he will be to advantage.

1. COMMANDING TIME
He only has one win here but a good record at 2000m. He ran close to Miss Rose de Lago last prep.

MAIN DANGER
6. SCHOCKEMOHLE
He ran on well behind Wales last time out and is third up here. D.Oliver jumps on board.

Race 2
Robert Hunter Handicap 2400m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

3. SECOND BULLET
He’s flying and has a good record here. He is untried at 2400m but it looks like he will stay. He has drawn well and the even speed will suit, he will sit up on the speed or right behind the leaders. The rain out 9m will suit the leaders today.

5. DANJEU (IRE)
His record at 2400m is very strong (5: 2-1-1). He ran on very well behind Mujadale in the Bagot grade two starts back from a wide barrier and has drawn well here. He drops down 3.5kg.

7. LUCQUES
He’s running well and the stable is on fire. D.Lane is back on after a good run two starts back. He will probably sit near the tail of the field and may need a bit more speed to win here.

MAIN DANGER
11. USE THE LOT
He has a strong record here and runs well at 2400m. He will sit up on the speed and could be a big threat here at some nice each way odds. C.Symons stays on after two good runs.

Race 3
Mal Seccull Handicap 1600m
Speed: Slow
Most advantaged: On pace

2. PRIX D’OR
Forgive his run last week where he was reshoed at the barriers. Horses rarely win after that. He loves 1600m and the step back in class makes him a good chance here.

4. DISTANT ROCK
He meets a similar field here to his last run. He has drawn wide but should sit up near the speed with not much pace predicted here. He runs better when he sits closer to the speed.

3. MURPHY’S DELIGHT (IRE)
He has first up form and ran well in this grade last prep to finish 1.4L off De Little Engine. This looks an easier field and he will be at big odds but he has drawn the widest and will be working early.

MAIN DANGER
7. HERO MASTER
Back to 1600m suits. He will sit up near the speed from an inside barrier and without much speed on paper he can win this. He has won here at 1600m.

Race 4
Chairman’s Stakes 1000m
Speed: unknown

1. EXTREME CHOICE
His debut was impressive and he can go on here. D.Oliver takes the ride. I am wary of horses running the opposite direction for the first time but he looks talented and the class runner here.

8. MANDEE
From an inside barrier he should sit on the pace like he did in his jump out. He won that jump out.

6. SIMPLY INVINCIBLE
He ran quite well in a trial behind one who has since been sound in Listed company.

Race 5
Inglis Premier 1200m
Speed: not clear

3. HELL OF AN EFFORT
He has been freshened up and his win last time out by 2.5L was impressive. He will be up on the pace and looks talented.

5. HEY DOC
He has drawn wide here but will still be up on the speed. LCurrie stays on after a good run last time out.

2. VALLIANO
He was good on debut running 3rd in Listed grade. He then ran well at Moonee Valley. I haven’t seen a jump out/trial but if he is sound he will be competitive here.

MAIN DANGER
1. DALRADIAN
He has second up form and ran okay in his resuming race. The fitness gained from that run gives him a good advantage. B.Rawiller stays on.

Race 6
John Moule Handicap 1400m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind speed

1. HE OR SHE
He ran on very well in the Group 1 Emirates during the carnival from a wide barrier. He has first up form and won here with more weight last prep. Dayne Dunn rode him in that race and is back on here.

8. DAN ZEPHYR
He gets in light here again after a strong win last week. This is slightly harder but he is up to these. He looks to be the leader here and can control the race.

4. UNDERESTIMATION
4 from 6 of his wins have been at 1400m and one of those wins was on New Year’s Day at his last outing. He has been freshened up and has second up form.

MAIN DANGER
3. MIGHTY LIKE
His 1400m strike rate is strong. His win on Australia Day was very impressive from the tail of the field. He should sit closer to the speed with a good barrier, his runs off the speed have been when he has drawn wide which tends to be quite regularly lately!

Race 7
W.J. Adams Stakes 1000m
Speed: Fast
Most advantaged: Off pace

7. ROUGH JUSTICE
He has a good record at 1000m and is in form take out his run last time out. From a good barrier he should sit just behind the speed and with a lot of pace predicted here he is good enough to win this. He is in form and looks to be in for another good prep.

2. RELDAS
He comes back to 1000m and I don’t see it being a disadvantage. The speed will suit him but he may get too far back with the rail out 9m to win this but must be included. He ran on very well on Boxing Day and has been freshened up since that run.

10. SHAKESPEAREAN LASS
She has been flying this prep but this is harder. She is against the males here but does run a strong 1000m. She must be included if we see an on pace bias throughout the day.

MAIN DANGER
11. RUNSATI
He is unbeaten this prep and steps up to Listed company here. His two wins in so far have been comfortable wins but drawing wide doesn’t help here. He will be doing his work early to get up on the speed and may have nothing left to run on.

Race 8
Manfred Stakes 1200m
Speed: Even
Most advantaged: Just behind pace

7. GOLDEN SPIN
He is unbeaten here at 1200m and does meet a tougher field here. His three wins in this prep from three starts have all been very good, including his 3L smashing in BM78 grade four weeks ago. M.Zahra takes the ride here and the even speed will suit him.

1. GOLD SYMPHONY
He has a very good record at 1200m and is unbeaten here. He does carry top weight here in SWP conditions but did win at Group 3 level twice last prep. He has drawn wide here and may get too far back.

4. READY FOR VICTORY
G.Boss takes the ride and he has first up form. He was only 2L off Press Statement in the Caulfield Guineas back in October and from a good barrier should sit around midfield.

MAIN DANGER
2. BON AURUM
He gets 59kg here under SWP conditions and hasn’t carried that much weight before. He has won twice under SWP conditions. This will be tough first up but he has potential and will be at nice odds.

Race 9
Thomas North Handicap 1400m
Speed: Fast
Most advantaged: Off pace

4. FAST APPROACHING
She is unbeaten at 1400m here and is coming off two very nice wins. She beat the boys two runs back comfortably then stepped up in class and back to F&M grade to win again. N.Hall stays on after those two runs and she should be too good here.

8. BOUNDARY
She stays down in the weights here and meets a similar field to her last run. She has drawn well and will be sitting around mid-field and should go close again here.
1. WHISTLE BABY
Dylan Dunn takes the ride and the claim will definitely help with the top weight allocation. She still goes up 5kg to carry 59kg here but does carry weight well. She ran close to Miss Softhands two runs back with 60kg. She has no wins at Caulfield but does have a good 1400m record.

MAIN DANGER
3. MARLI MAGIC
She has no wins here but is running well. She comes back to F&M grade though the step back to 1400m is questionable. She looks to be the leader here and must be included if we see an on pace bias, which is typical when we have the rail out 9m.
