Race 1
11.55AM VRC Recognition Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

8. ABSOLUTE HEAVEN
She’s progressing well forgiving last start on a tight track when she took a sit from the wide draw. She comes back to 1400m here and did run well behind over this trip here two starts back finishing only 0.1L off Remember The Name. She has drawn well and should be up near the speed.

6. SHALWA (NZ)
She’s third up off two second placings and looks close to a win. She is rarely far away and ran a solid 2nd here over 1400m back in January. Michael Walker goes on.

1. MAGNESIUM ROSE
She goes up in the weights off a sound win last week. She is untried over 1400m. Noel Callow stays on and the big track should suit her.

SAVER
3. NAANTALI (NZ)
She’s very consistent and Damien Lane takes the ride in this. Forgive her only start here when she was ridden up on the speed, she has been ridden back in her last two on wetter tracks for good results. She can carry weight and the extra trip looks like it will suit now.

Race 2
12.30PM Rising Stars Final 1700m
Predicted speed: Fast

7. SO SPLENDID (NZ)
She’s third up off two solid seconds. She has the fitness, this is her home track and she gets a big drop in the weights. There looks to be enough speed to suit her.

4. ANOTHER BULLSEYE
She comes back to fillies & mares grade in this and out to 1700m should suit. She won over 1600m here back in May beating Galaxy Raider. She gets some weight relief.

6. LINGUIST
Forgive her last two starts where she hasn’t appeared to handled Moonee Valley. She has won here over 1700m and she’s in light. She has drawn for a good run just off the main speed. She beat Silvera three starts back who has won twice since.

SAVER
1. MILES OF KRISHAN
She’s in good form though 1700m is a bit of a query. Forgive her here last start when she faced the breeze most of the way, she held on well.  She likes Flemington and has run well at 1600m.

Race 3
1.05PM Vale Jack Franklin Handicap 2500m
Predicted speed: Even

4. CROCODILE ROCK (IRE)
He has a very good first up record and very consistent overall form. He wasn’t far off Alward first up last prep carrying 60.5kg. He likes Flemington and wasn’t far off Almandin at the end of last prep over this trip. He has drawn well but is noted as going to take a sit. He shouldn’t get too far away in the smallish field.

2. FALAGO
He won well here last start over 2600m and does like Flemington. He comes up in the weights but Ethan Brown’s claim does help.

5. RED ALTO
He hasn’t won for almost a year (surprisingly it was over 1200m here – his only Flemington win!) but he’s rarely far away. He doesn’t have the strongest record at Flemington but does have the fitness to be in the finish.

SAVER
8. THUNDER CLOUD
He’s in fantastic form having won 4 of his last 6 starts and placing in the other two. He was a solid winner last start over 2100m and steps out to 2500m in this. He will likely take a sit but he does have a good turn of foot so the big track should suit him.

Race 4
1.40PM Flemington Event Staff Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Fast

16. TAHI (NZ)
He was a strong winner last start with the blinkers going on and he can go on here. He has the fitness, he did run a solid 2nd down the straight this day last year though he did lead in that. He has been taking more of a sit this prep, if he goes back in this there definitely looks to be enough speed to suit and he can be in the finish.

7. MYSTIFIED
She’s in fantastic form and a led the whole way last start to win over this trip. Damien Oliver goes on and she has drawn out which can be a positive down the straight. She has run well in higher grade and is an each way chance here.

11. JACKSON
Tony McEvoy’s stable is in good form. He ran a very solid third here last February in Listed grade and should get a nice run here. He has won first up.

SAVER
5. ARTIE DEE TWO
This is his first time down the straight but he is quite consistent. He has run well in this grade at his last few outings but is a bit hard to map as he does mix up his pattern. He is good enough and if he handles the straight he is one to include.

Race 5
2.15PM Byerley Handicap 1800m
Predicted speed: Slow

6. SO YOU SWING
The filly out of So You Think only has two starts to her name but she won impressively on debut then ran a solid 2nd at Sandown at her second start. Damien Thornton stays on and this is her first time on drier ground. She steps out to 1800m

1. FUN FACT
He has no bad runs to date. He’s third up off a sound maiden win last start when stepping out to 1600m. Dwayne Dunn goes on, this is his home track and he should be up on the speed again.

2. VISAO
He was an impressive maiden winner second up. Damian Lane goes on.

SAVER
3. LIFT (NZ)
He made good ground late on debut and will be better for that run. That was on a heavy 8 and he comes to drier ground here. Out further looks like it will suit.

Race 6
2.55PM TAB/ATA Trainers’ Trust Handicap 1100m
Predicted speed: Even

1. BRAVE SONG
He resumes a gelding and looks a good chance. He was only 3L off Kementari last prep in Group 3 grade. Dry ground is a tick. He has a good first up record and was a strong winner first up last prep.

6. DOUBLE JEOPARDY
He runs well here and ran soundly behind Nature Strip over this trip two starts back with Andrew Mallyon on. He gets some weight relief from last start and will find this easier. He should get a nice run just off the main speed.

2. DUCIMUS
He ran very well first up down the straight then was quite average last start on the windy day. That’s forgivable. He’s third up and Ben Allen goes on. Back to dry ground suits. He has a good 1100m record.

SAVER
4. ORDER OF COMMAND
Off his run last start he looks close to another win. He made ground late to finish only 1.5L off Nature Strip. He gets a bit of weight relief and Noel Callow goes on. Coming back to 1100m is a bit of a query but he is definitely good enough to be amongst the finish.

Race 7
3.35PM Murray Cox Handicap 1600m
Predicted Speed: Even

5. STREETS OF AVALON
He backs up in this off a strong second last Saturday. He appears to be looking for more ground and he will get it here stepping out to 1600m. He’s in good form and does tend to hold form for a bit when he finds it.

2. MR MONEY BAGS
He likes Flemington and was a sound winner here last start over this trip. Jye McNeil stays on, he has drawn well and should get a nice trail.

3. AL PASSEM
He backs up in this off a forgivable run last start when he got a bit of a squeeze. It did look to be a swoopers race though. His only other run over 1600m was the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas where he finished a long way off. Ethan Brown goes on. If he runs up to his effort two starts back he can be in the finish.

SAVER
4. NIGHT FALLS
He comes to city grade here and is likely to be quite popular. He was a very comfortably 4.7L winner last start over 1500m and has only missed the trifecta once in his 9 starts. Damian Lane has a good record on him and 1600m looks no issue.

Race 8
4.15PM K.A. Morrison Handicap 2000m
Predicted speed: Even

6. SIXTIES GROOVE (IRE)
He was a solid winner here last start when stepping out to this trip. He had the perfect ride just off the speed and sprinted away to win by 3.25L. He’s unbeaten over 2000m and Damian Lane goes on.

3. TRAP FOR FOOLS
He was good on debut off a bit of an unlucky run and is third up in this. He should improve here stepping out in trip and should be up near the speed.

14. JAAMEH (IRE)
His debit for Lindsay Park back in April was impressive. He ran on very strongly from near the tail of the field to win. All reports sound promising for here and he is in light. Onto a big track should suit.

SAVER
1. PACODALI (IRE)
He’s unbeaten at Flemington from two starts and runs a very solid 2000m. Ethan Brown stays on from a good winning ride last start. He looks a strong chance and boasts a win over Almandin.

Race 9
4.50PM VRC Thanks Terry Bailey Handicap 1000m
Predicted speed: Even

5. WISE HERO
He has a good Flemington record and Damian Lane goes back on. He was on two starts back for a solid placing. He comes back in trip but gets the blinkers on.

2. ROCKET TOMMY
He loves Flemington! He doesn’t have the strongest second up record so I’m happy to forgive his last start effort. Back to 1000m suits, 7 of his 8 runs have been over this trip. He does have to carry 60.5kg but he is so honest down the straight.

8. NORDIC EMPIRE
He’s in good form. He ran a close 2nd first up then won his next two outings beating Demolition both times who came out and won last week. He’s under the limit in this with Stephanie Thornton’s claim and will be up on the speed.

SAVER
4. INVINCIBLE AL
He was a dominant winner last start and stays down in the weights here with Nathan Punch’s claim. He has won down the straight and the stable is in good form. Back onto dry ground is a tick.

Caulfield 14-07-2018

Race 1
11.50AM Ladbrokes.com.au Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Not clear

1. HUMMA HUMMA
She comes against the males here but her two runs to date have both been good. She ran a solid second in Listed company on debut back in March then won well first up this prep in good time. Jamie Mott stays on, he’s in good form.

3. KAIPAKI (NZ)
He debuted well making ground late and out further with experience suits. He was big odds then and finished only 0.6L off the winner after sitting last.

7. RONAN’S ROCK
He debuts for Lindsay Park with Craig Williams to ride. He has jumped out well.

SAVER
6. BRUTAL (NZ)
He looked good in a recent jumpout and if he runs up to that he should be up on the speed. With the rail out it could be to his advantage.

Race 2
12.25PM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Fast

11. SOUL STAR
She got a long way back first up and was pretty much untested to the line, she found a wall of horses the whole way. Craig Williams stays on and there looks to be enough speed to suit her. Out to 1200m suits, she ran a solid 2nd behind Summer Sham over this trip last prep.

4. JOSEPHIINE SEA
She has a consistent overall record and is going well this prep. She made good ground late here last start only just missing when stepping back in trip.

3. MISS NORWAY
She resumed with a win then ran fairly behind a smart one second up. She made ground late after sitting at the tail of the field here last start. She stays down in the weights with Lachlan King going on and is untried over 1200m but off last starts effort it looks like it will suit

SAVER
7. MAGNESIUM ROSE
She’s third up here and ran well over this trip last start. She gets a bit of weight relief in this. She won here third up last prep.

Race 3
1.00PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap 1700m
Predicted speed: Slow

14. MANTASTIC (IRE)
He looks a very strong chance having finished 2nd in his two runs back this prep. He was only 0.5L off Barthelona first up then ran on very strongly last start when stepping up to 1600m only missing by 0.1L. That was here so the track gets a tick. He gets some weight relief, Dean Yendall stays on and the wide draw is no issue as he’s likely to get back.

13. PORTION CONTROL
He’s at very nice each way odds and off his first up effort last start there’s no reason why he can’t go one better. He has won second up, is under the limit with Lachlan King’s claim and should get a nice midfield sit. He likes Caulfield and all of his wins have been on the dry.

11. RIB EYE
He looks close to a win having placed in three of his four runs back this prep. The other run was a close 4th here last start. Chris Parnham stays on and he gets a bit of weight relief. The step out in trip should suit.

SAVER
5. ANOTHER COLDIE
H’s improving nicely with each run back ad should go close here. He wasn’t far off the Silentz last start. Damian Lane goes on and he has drawn well.

Race 4
1.35PM Ladbrokes Multiverse Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

16. DEMOLITION
He was scratched through the week in favour for this. He’s third up off two close placings and can go one better here. He carried 61.5kg last start to finish only 1.5L off the winner. He should go very close here, Damian Lane goes on.

10. DANE THUNDER
He ran a strong third here over this trip a fortnight ago and comes back slightly in class in this. He will get back but if they can run on, he’s a solid each way chance.

3. MR GUSTAVO
He made ground late here last start when resuming finishing 3rd at big odds. If they are running on he is an each way chance again here stepping out to 1400m.

SAVER
14. BALLET MASTER (NZ)
Forgiving his second up run when he got too far back, he’s going well this prep. He has been solid in his last two outings when stepping out to the 1400m and can go close with Zac Spain going on here. He has drawn well and should get the perfect trail just off the leaders.

Race 5
2.10PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Exotics Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

3. RILLITO
She looks one of the better chances of the day off her stunning run here a fortnight ago. She sat near the tail of the field to win comfortably by 2L. Four out of her total 5 wins have been over 1200m and she meets a similar class in this. She looks hard to beat.

7. CHIAVARI
She ran well behind Rillito last start who she meets better at the weights in this after Zac Spain’s claim. She comes in a few barriers after scratchings and will be in front of Rillito through the run.

8. MAMZELLE TESS
She’s running well without winning. She has placed in 5 of her 7 starts at Caulfield. She wasn’t disgraced in Group 3 company two starts back finishing only 2L off the winner under SWP conditions. She was 6 weeks between runs before last start and should run her usual honest effort in this.

SAVER
5. DIVINE QUALITY
Forgive her last start when she was running head on into the wind. Her four runs prior, all 2nds, were very good. She resumed this prep finishing 2nd behind Creativity here so we know she handles the track. She comes back to mares company and can go close.

Race 6
2.50PM Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap 2000m
Predicted speed: Fast

1. MASCULINO
He’s in hot form and can go on after his comfortably 3L victory over this trip here a fortnight ago after he drew wide. He has drawn wide in his last two outings and again in this! He’s fit, he should get a nice run and there’s no reason why he can’t win this as well.

5. LEGALE
He made ground late last start winning by a length. He gets weight relief and Craig Williams goes on. The 2000m looks no problem off that run.

13. JEDDAH AHEADAH
She ran soundly when coming up to city class last start. She stepped out to 2000m and held her ground. She stays under the limit and has drawn well again, she will be up near the speed.

SAVER
3. MOUNT KILCOY
He looks smart and the 2000m looks perfect now off two solid 2nds over 1600m. He stays down in the weights and looks a strong chance.

Race 7
3.30PM Ladbrokes Sir John Monash Stakes 1100m
Predicted Speed: Even

6. JUKEBOX
He’s unbeaten first up and loves Caulfield. He looked good in a recent winning jumpout and the glue on shoes coming off is a positive, as is Craig Williams being on.

1. VOODOO LAD
He has a fantastic record here and comes back in grade. He was a winner over this trip and track last prep with Brad Rawiller who partners with him for the first time since that race. He is unbeaten over 1100m from four starts.

2. CRYSTAL DREAMER
He has a good record here and runs well fresh. His last win was over 1100m here with Damian Lane on last December, and he takes the ride again here.

SAVER
4. ASHLOR
This is a step up but he’s in fantastic form and Jamie Mott is flying. He was a very good winner here last start with 63kg. He gets a bit of weight relief coming to WFA terms. He should get the perfect sit from the good draw.

Race 8
4.10PM Ladbrokes Info Hub Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

3. AL PASSEM
I’ve noted him as my best each way of the day but I think the each way odds have been taken! He led the whole way here last start over this trip, after jumping from a wide draw, when second up getting out to a winnable distance. He has a fantastic record at Caulfield and the stable is in good form. He has drawn a lot better in this with barrier 2.

1. SUMMER SHAM
She was friendless last start drifting out after being favourite to start at almost double figure odds. She ran fairly and will be better for that. She is a Group 2 winner over 1400m here, she has the class.

13. STREETS OF AVALON
He ran well here last start when stepping out to 1400m and he is an each way chance again in this. He has drawn for a better run and Dwayne Dunn goes on.

SAVER
9. STREET SHEIK
He finished a close 2nd over this trip here last start but probably should have won. He has placed in all five starts this prep and does look close to a win. He stays under the limit with Nathan Punch’s claim.

Race 9
4.45PM Ladbrokes Cash Out Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Fast

10. BARTHELONA
He’s in flying form having won three of his last four outings. He has won here but it was in 2016, which is also when his other run here was. He’s building a solid 1400m record and gets a big drop in the weights in this going from 58kg last start to 51kg in this after Lachlan King’s claim.

1. WIDGEE TURF
He was a very strong winner over this trip here back in March and has been in good form since. He has drawn well and runs well at Caulfield. There looks to be enough speed in this to suit him.

3. THEANSWERMYFRIEND
He debuts here for the Weir stable and we know his success rate at turning horses around. He finished a close 2nd in Listed company over this trip first up last prep. He was only 2.4L off Santa Ana Lane in the Group 1 Rupert Clark here back in the Spring. Damian Lane goes on.

SAVER
12. MALAISE
He’s third up off two good runs including a close 2nd here last start. He gets a bit of weight relief coming to open company and Craig Williams goes on.

Race 1
11.50AM Rivette Series Final 1600m
Predicted speed: Slow

4. MINTHA
She’s in good form and ran very well here two starts back behind Remember The Name who won again since. She was good out to 1600m last start and can go on here. Craig Williams goes on and she gets a bit of weight relief though this is no harder.

7. PAGEANTRY
She’s third up in this off two good runs where her best work was late. Out to 1600m looks like it will suit at this stage.

9. THINK DIAMONDS
She’s been running well though only won her maiden two starts back. She ran well in town last start and meets the winner better at the weights.

SAVER
2. ELLE GAGNE (NZ)
She stepped up sharply in trip last start and ran well only being run down late. She was still only 1L off the winner. There doesn’t look to be a lot of speed on paper and she looks the likely leader.

Race 2
12.25PM VRC-CRV Cup Tour Trophy 2000m
Predicted speed: Even

5. SIXTIES GROOVE (IRE)
He’s likely to be short odds here after a solid 2nd over 1800m last start. He’s getting closer with each step out and the 2000m here looks perfect. Craig Williams goes on and he stays down in the weights. He maps well, he shouldn’t be too far away in the small field.

7. BRIGADIER (NZ)
He’s deep into this prep but has found form again and appears to be holding it. He was a solid winner last start over a similar trip when he led the whole way.

4. RIYADH (NZ)
He was a solid winner two starts back over 1600m and does generally run well over 2000. He has a fantastic record on Soft ground. Forgive him last start when he didn’t appear to handle Moonee Valley.

SAVER
3. GRAND DREAMER
He had a trial before last start’s third in the Swan Hill Cup and ran solidly. His best form is on wet tracks and Damian Lane goes on. He has the fitness and the way he made ground last start, the 2000m looks good now.

Race 3
1.00PM Leilani Series Final 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

2. MILES OF KRISHAN
She was a solid winner here last start and can go on in this. She gets a bit of weight relief but this field is no harder. Fred Kersley stays on. She shouldn’t be far away in the small field.

5. SHARING
She resumes here and has a very good first up record. She’s in light and Ben Allen has form on her. She likes Flemington.

1. MISS GUNPOWDER
She ran well against the boys in her last two outings and comes back to mares company here but does go up sharply in the weights. Craig Williams goes on and 1400m is her best trip.

SAVER
4. HUSSY’S GLOW
She’s in good form and ran well here last start. She meets Miles of Krishan at the same weights but has more race fitness this prep. She has a solid 1400m record.

Race 4
1.35PM Silver Bowl Series Final 1600m
Predicted speed: Even

3. REMEMBER THE NAME
She’s in hot form and has won her last two outings here including over this trip. Damien Oliver stays on and she should get a good midfield sit again. With a windy day forecast, having cover could be beneficial.

4. MOUNT KILCOY
He only has three starts to his name but was impressive when stepping out to 1600m here last start. He got back to near last and powered to the line but did get checked and lost a bit of ground. Dean Yendall stays on.

5. WOULDA THOUGHT SO
His only average run this prep was at Moonee Valley two starts back. He has been working to the line well. He meets Remember The Name 1kg better here than last start when he drew the widest. He has once again drawn the widest here but does get back so that’s no issue.

SAVER
1. GAULOIS
He was wide the whole trip here last start and still ran a solid third behind Remember The Name. He has top weight again here with Damien Lane going on. He has drawn much better in this.

Race 5
2.10PM Taj Rossi Series Final 1600m
Predicted speed: Even

6. GOLDIFOX
She’s yet to win her maiden but off her close second here last start she’s a strong chance here. She took a bit to wind up in that race and the extra trip looks perfect. She meetings the winner 2.5kg better at the weights and can turn the tables on him here. She ran a solid second behind Anjana two starts back who looks a star in the making.

2. SCOTTISH ROGUE
He’s very consistent and hasn’t been far away in his last few in town. He’ll be up on the speed and Craig Williams goes on. Tony McEvoy is very good with 2yo’s.

11. NERO CHIN CHIN
Taking out his average synthetic run last start he has been consistent. He ran a solid second two starts back after settling back in the field. He gets a bit of weight relief here.

SAVER
1. GOOD ‘N’ FAST
He’s in good form having placed here on debut then won convincingly last start when quite popular. He goes up in the weights but can go on here.

Race 6
2.50PM Banjo Paterson Series Final 2600m
Predicted speed: Even

4. LYCURGUS
He’s in hot form and there’s no reason why he can’t go on here. He likes Flemington and Damien Oliver stays on. He should get a nice trail up near the speed.

2. GREY LION (IRE)
He stepped out sharply to 2520m here last start and ran a solid second. He does run well here and finished second at his only other 2600m here which was in the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth.

3. SWACADELIC (GER)
He’s a very consistent stayer but often just finds one better. He was really soli here two starts back over 3200m running on strongly finishing behind Sin to Win then was plain back in trip last start but I am happy to forgive that big step back in trip.

SAVER
8. LA COURBETTE (FR)
He ran well here last start over a similar trip and stays down in the weights with Michael Walker going on. Any rain will likely help her.
Race 7
3.30PM A.R. Creswick Series Final 1200m
Predicted Speed: Fast

1. NATURE STRIP
He was very impressive stepping out for the Weir stable for the first time last start with 60.5kg. He has 58.5kg here. He almost broke the track record! Damian Lane stays on, he’s unbeaten here and will take some catching.

8. ORDER OF COMMAND
He’s been running on well and off last start’s effort out to 1200m helps. That was his first step out to city class and this is his home track.

5. I AM SOMEONE
He goes up sharply in weight here but has been quite consistent. He ran well behind Nature Strip here but does meet him worse in the weights under SWP conditions. Place chance.

SAVER
2. BEL SONIC
His first two runs back this prep were very good then he was ridden too close last start and dropped off. Chris Parnham goes on here. He is untried down the straight but there should be enough speed in this to suit.

Race 8
4.10PM VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Final 1600m
Predicted speed: Fast

8. COOL CHAP
I’m surprised he’s the odds he is after last start’s effort. He was stepping back in trip and ran a really solid second behind Ozi Choice, it was an eye catching run. The last time he ran over 1600m here he finished 0.5L off Humidor in the Group 2 Blamey! He should get the perfect sit with enough speed in front to help.

17. SILENTZ
He was a very impressive winner three starts back then can be forgiven on the Heavy 10 at Swan Hill. He was impressive again here last start over the 1600m and Dean Yendall stays on here, staying down in the weights.

7. MORTON’S FORK
He ran fairly first up and improved here second up. He gets out to 1600m which he has won over and Jamie Mott goes on (he’s in good form!). His only other 1600m start here was a 0.2L second behind Comin’ Through.

SAVER
10. MAGIC CONSOL
He was very impressive last start! He said midfield and absolutely powered to the line late finishing 7L clear! Craig Williams understandably stays on here but he has drawn very wide in this. He is in good form and can’t be left out.

Race 9
4.40PM Seppelt Wines Victorian Sprint Series Final 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

8. DIVINE QUALITY
I’ve had her on top her last few starts and I’m sticking with her here. She came against the boys last start and slightly back in trip but ran a really solid second behind Malibu Style. Jye McNeil goes on here and back out to 1200m looks perfect.

1. HELLOVA STREET
He is a very solid fresh runner and very consistent overall! The stable has said he’s ready to run a good race first up and Damien Oliver goes on. He was only 1.25L off Humidor at the end of last prep here, he likes Flemington.

5. MAN FROM UNCLE
He ran fairly here first up after being quite popular in the market. He has won second up and should be up near the speed. He is a Group 2 winner in Sydney but was only fair in Group company down the straight here during the Spring. This is easier and he can be amongst the finish.

SAVER
7. JUST HIFALUTIN
She has a good record here including winning down the straight at the end of last prep. 1200m is her best trip, she has won 4 out of 5 starts over the trip and finished a solid second in the other (only 0.2L off the winner at MV).

Caulfield 30-06-2018

Race 1
11.45AM Keno Let’s Play Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Not clear

6. RUBAN BLEU
He ran well on debut making good ground late. Craig Williams goes on (he’s in the race for the jockey’s premiership!) and the extra 100m will suit. Winkers go on.

8. TRILLI (NZ)
She’s third up and comes against males but ran well last start. She sat midfield on the rail and showed a nice turn of foot. Her and 2nd placing were 3.5L away from the remainder of the field.

1. BEERZ WITH CLINT
He ran well on debut running on hard late without the cleanest of runs. The extra trip looks ideal.

SAVER
7. TONY NICCONI
He jumped out well and debuts here for Lindsay Park. Off his jumpout, he can be up on the speed.

Race 2
12.20PM Keno Classic Handicap 1600m
Predicted speed: Even

8. MANTASTIC (IRE)
His Australian debut was eye catching behind Barthelona who has won again since. His 3 overseas starts, including a win, were over 1600m which he gets out to here.

3. AL GALAYEL (IRE)
He won his Australian debut over this trip a fortnight ago and gets some weight relief with Liam Riordan’s claim. This is his home track.

6. SPANNER HEAD
She drops back from BM90 to BM78 company after a good third at Flemington last start. She is also coming back 200m in trip but is three weeks between runs. She should be up near the speed.

SAVER
2. I BOOGI (NZ)
He had the perfect run last start when sitting closer and was a sound winner. He has drawn wide here and may push forward. He has a solid 1600m record.

Race 3
12.55PM Keno Heads Or Tails Handicap 2000m
Predicted speed: Even

1. MASCULINO
He looked very good winning last start when stepping out to this trip. Zac Spain stays on and he will likely settle back from the wider draw again. He looks a good middle distance horse in the making and his overall record is very good. He’s rarely far away and this doesn’t look to be a deep field.

14. BIG BAD BAZ
He’s been running on in his last two starts including a sound run in town last start. He is an each way chance in this and Chris Parnham goes on.

13. JEDDAH AHEADAH
The Pierro filly gets a big drop in the weights after winning her maiden last start. She has only missed one top three finish and that was first up this prep when she settled back in the field. With Georgina Cartwright’s claim she is under the limit. She has drawn well and should get a nice trail just off the leaders.

SAVER
10. FLOGGA
He was impressive on debut then didn’t have clear running last start. He stays down under the limit with Lachlan King staying on and will get back but on his debut run he can be in the finish. The extra trip should suit as well.

Race 4
1.30PM Keno Kwikpik Handicap 1100m
Predicted speed: Fast

2. DERASA
She was stepping back in trip last start down the straight at Flemington and ran on strongly on finishing 0.4L off the winner. Stepping back out to 1100m suits, she has a very strong record over this trip.

1. SUMMER SHAM
She won the Group 2 Armanasco here back in February and has jumped out well. She has only missed once in her 4 starts to date and looks very smart.

9. STYLIS MISSILE
She has been backed in solidly and for good reason. She was only 2L off Tulip back in February in Group 3 company. She won at her only start here last prep. She’s under the limit with Liam Riordan staying on, she got a bit too far back first up after drawing wide and should improve with a better draw and on top of the ground here.

SAVER
4. MISS NORWAY
She has won half her starts to date and ran well in town last start after drawing wide. She has drawn wide again here but gets some weight relief and comes back to drier ground.

Race 5
2.05PM Keno Heads or Tails Margins Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Fast

7. RILLITO
I have marked her as my best of the day after her impressive first up run. She powered to the line and only missed by 0.2L. She comes out to 1200m (which she has 3 wins over) in this and has a solid second up record. Craig Williams stays on and she has drawn for a similar run. There does look to be some speed in this which is going to suit her.

17. APPALACHIAN ANNIE
She is untried over 1200m but will be up on the speed and could take some catching. Jye McNeil stays on and back onto drier ground is a tick.

10. JENNIFER LYNN
She will find this field a lot easier than many of her last runs which have been in Group company. She does have a fairly good overall record and does run well fresh. She has won here beating a good field including Petition and Swampland but that was October 2016. Coming back to BM90 company she is decently weighted (most of her Group runs were in SWP conditions).

SAVER
6. MAMZELLE TESS
She runs well here and ran a solid 3rd behind Creativity here back in April. Stephen Baster stays on after a sound run last start in Group 3 company. She’s rarely been far away this pre and can factor in the finish. Winkers come off and blinkers go on.

Race 6
2.45PM Keno Bonus Handicap 1800m
Predicted speed: Even

4. TRAP FOR FOOLS
He was three wide the whole way at his Victorian debut and had nothing left to give at the end. He did pass a few tiring horses and the run was better than it looks on paper. He comes back to drier ground and out to a more winnable trip here. He has drawn a lot better and should find the lead a lot easier.

1. PACODALI (IRE)
Forgive his first up run on the heavy 10 ground, he still ran soundly. He won second up last prep though that was over a bit further. He boasts a win over Almandin.

6. MY NORDIC HERO (GB)
He’s found form but steps back a bit in trip here. From the good draw he should be up near the speed and Michael Walker stays on. He has been running well against some very good horses and is definitely up to this field.

SAVER
11. SIXTIES GROOVE (IRE)
He appeared to be looking for further last start and gets out to 1800m here. He stays down in the weights and Dean Yendall goes on.

Race 7
3.25PM Keno Replay Handicap 1400m
Predicted Speed: Fast

3. USAIN BOWLER
The So You Think gelding is in good form and comes out to 1400m here which he is untried over. Damien Oliver goes on and he has drawn for a good run just off the main speed.

4. AL PASSEM
He ran okay first up and should improve second up with the step out in trip. This is a lot easier than all the black type races he faced last prep though he wasn’t far off Catchy in the Group 2 Danehill. He ran well in two runs here last April finishing top two in both.

6. STREETS OF AVALON
Out to 1400m looks ideal off his run last start. He meets Usain Bowler better at the weights in this. He is Group 3 placed here.

SAVER
10. SMOOTH LANDING
She stepped back in trip last start to the 1400m and ran well. She was only 1.9L off Remember the Name who has won again since. She was only 1L off Peaceful State back in April over this trip. She gets a big drop in the weights with Lachlan King’s claim.

Race 8
4.05PM Keno Superplay Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

3. MALAISE
He looks a strong chance off his first up run. He made ground late finishing only 1L off the winner. Craig Williams stays on here and out to 1400m suits, he has a strong record over this trip.

9. RIB EYE
He’s in good form having placed in all three runs back this prep. He comes back in trip here but is four weeks between runs so that’s no issue for me.

12. DANE THUNDER
He ran well first up on a heavy track then won well second up on a good surface. He comes back to dry again here and gets a bit of weight relief with the step up in grade. Out to 1400m suits.

SAVER
10. SO POYSED
He ran on strongly when resuming over a trip a bit short for him and he has a very good second up record. He has drawn well and gets a bit of weight relief stepping up in grade.

Race 9
4.40PM Keno Jackpots Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

5. WISE HERO
I have marked him my best each way of the day and I think he’s over the odds. He runs well here and has a very solid overall record. All of his wins have been on dry but if we get a bit of rain he still runs well on soft. He won third up last prep and should get the perfect midfield trail. Drawing out a bit by this stage of the day may be an advantage.

11. LORD BARRINGTON (NZ)
He’s in good form this prep and can go on here. He has won here back it was back in 2016. He maps well and should get a sit just off the main speed.

1. ASHLOR
He has big weight here but if a very good horse. He’s in flying form and did carry 59kg here back in April when he finished only 0.7L off Rich Charm. He’ll be up on the speed and could take some catching.

SAVER
3. PROUD WOLF
He’s third up here and wasn’t far off Malibu Style first up who has won again since. He’s an each way chance in this and a bit of rain would help.

Flemington 23-06-2018

Meeting: Flemington
Rail: +9m entire circuit
Track at 8am: Soft 5
Predicted track condition as of 3pm: Soft 5
Weather forecast: Showers, 13 degrees

Speed maps (click to view): PDF – Flemington 23062018 maps

Race 1
11.41AM Gippsland Region Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Not clear

2. GOOD ‘N’ FAST
He was good here on debut making ground late to finish only 0.1L off the winner. He comes out to 1400m and will be better from that first up run.

6. GOLDIFOX
She resumed with a super second behind the smart Anjana and the extra trip looks like it will suit. She comes against the males but if she can produce another run like her first up effort, she can be in the finish.

4. STAR FALL
He won his maiden well last start leading and kicking away to win by 3.75L. He has drawn for a good run.

SAVER
1. SCOTTISH ROGUE
He has the most race experience over these other starters and wasn’t far away here last start when stepping back in trip. Back out further here should suit and Tony McEvoy’s stable is in good form.

Race 2
12.16PM The Murray Region Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Even

3. MILES OF KRISHAN
She resumed with a solid second and does run just as well second up. She goes up in grade but comes back to mares company in this and Fred Kersley stays on. She should get a nice trail just behind the speed and should be in the finish again.

4. HUSSY’S GLOW
She rarely runs poorly and has a solid 1400m record. She’s fit and the stable is going well.

6. FUDGED
She’s won a quarter of her starts to date and is under the limit with Stephanie Thornton’s claim. She ran a solid third behind Oak Door & Widgee Turf over this trip here last January. She is stepping back in trip so she’s more of an each way chance.

SAVER
1. CREATIVITY
She has drawn for a good run here and can be forgiven last start when she didn’t have any room. She won at her only other 1400m start.

Race 3
12.51PM Great Ocean Road Handicap 1100m
Predicted speed: Even

1. NATURE STRIP
He makes his debut for the Weir stable here and did win down the straight over this trip back in January. He does have 60.5kg but is the clear best horse in the race.

7. ORDER OF COMMAND
He’s won his two races back this prep, his most recent being a solid 2.25L win after settling at the tail of the field. He gets weight relief coming up in class and Damien Oliver goes on.

11. RIEL REWARD
He’s quite consistent and did run soundly down the straight back in March considering it was Listed company. Chris Parnham was on for that ride and goes back on here. He has drawn out which is a plus.

SAVER
3. DUCIMUS
The Snitzel colt settled near the tail of the field when resuming here a fortnight ago powering to the line to finish a close second. Out to 1100m suits, both of his wins to date have been over this trip.

Race 4
1.26PM 2018 Country Achiever Quinton Scott Handicap 1400m
Predicted speed: Slow

2. BARTHELONA
He had the perfect sit up on the speed over this trip here a fortnight ago and has drawn for a similar run. Without a clear leader on paper he should be up there. He likes Flemington and will handle a Good or Soft surface equally.

9. PAINTE
He ran okay here last start when stepping out to this trip and should improve from that. Brad Rawiller goes on.

14. JESTA DREAMA
He runs a strong 1400m and his last three starts, all wins, have been over this trip. He deserves a try in town and has won on soft.

SAVER
11. KNOWABLE
He ran very well down the straight two starts back at big odds then was okay in hot speed last start. They weren’t making a lot of ground in that race and the winner looks smart. Back to restricted grade helps though a dry track would suit him best.

Race 5
2.06PM High Country Handicap 2520m
Predicted speed: Even

5. LYCURGUS
Since he’s stepped out over 2000m+ he’s been running super consistently. He just got too far away from the run away leader last start, he did chase hard but just couldn’t catch Choysa who he meets again here, better at the weights. Damien Oliver goes back on, he was on two starts ago for a sound win and there’s no reason why he can’t be in the finish.

2. GREY LION (IRE)
He made ground last start over the 2040m and out to 2520m should suit. He ran a good 2nd over a similar trip here in the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth through the Spring.

4. FALAGO
He’s run well in his last two including a decent third here last start. He likes Flemington and Craig Williams goes on. He has drawn for a good run just off the leaders.

SAVER
1. HIGH CHURCH (IRE)
He improved greatly last start over 2040m and I suspect we’ll see a bigger improvement out further here. That was only his third run back over almost a year away. Damian Lane has a good record on him and stays on here.

Race 6
2.46PM Macedon and Goldfields Handicap 1600m
Predicted speed: Even

1. GAULOIS
He was a strong winner when stepping out to this trip earlier in the month and Brad Rawiller stays on for this. He goes up in the weights but he’s very consistent and has the fitness.

5. REMEMBER THE NAME
She comes against the males but her two runs back this prep have both been good. Her only other start over this trip was in Group 2 company back in October where she finished only 3L off Bring Me Roses. That was only her next start after winning her maiden.

2. MR MONEYBAGS
He’s in good form and going off his wide win last start, the 1600m should be no issue. He was only 1.9L off Fifty Starts three starts back who was a dominant winner at his next start.

SAVER
9. WOULDA THOUGHT SO
Forgive his run last start when he was in the worst part of the track. He ran a very strong 2nd behind Iconoclasm over this trip here two starts back at big odds. Back onto a big track is a tick.

Race 7
3.26PM Brian Beattie Handicap 1400m
Predicted Speed: Even

1. OZI CHOICE
He was impressive setting a strong speed then running away from the field to win by 2.25L over this trip here a fortnight ago. He almost broke the track record. Dean Yendall stays on and he has drawn for a similar run.

13. GALAXY RAIDER
He’s in hot form finishing in the top two at his last four starts. His other run this prep, first up, was very impressive also. He will get back and will be powering to the line again but the rail being out makes it a bit hard. He was definitely eye catching last start when stepping back in trip, they weren’t making ground that day and he was one of the rare few who did.

8. MISS GUNPOWDER
She ran well against the boys here last start and stays down in the weights with Lachlan King staying on. She runs a strong 1400m.

SAVER
3. MORTON’S FORK
His trial before his first up effort was a bit average but he did run well first up and I suspect he’ll improve greatly from that run. Craig Williams goes back on, he was on back in January resulting in a big win.

Race 8
4.06PM David Bourke Provincial Plate 1600m
Predicted speed: Even

9. SILENTZ
This is a step up but his win two starts back was ultra impressive. He was sitting a clear last and absolutely powered to the line late to win by just under a length. Forgive his miss on the Heavy 10 last start. He stays down in the weights, he’s by Snitzel and the big track should suit him.

6. GUIZOT (IRE)
He ran well here two starts back finishing only 1.5L off the winner. He has drawn out but does usually get back. Damien Oliver goes on.

12. PENTHOUSE POET
He resumed this prep with a strong win then stepped up to this trip in deeper grade and made a lot of ground late finishing a solid third. He stays down in the weights with the step up in grade. In the tough very even field, he’s one to include in exotics.

SAVER
2. ANOTHER COLDIE
His two runs back this prep were probably a bit too short for him these days. He was a strong winner over 1600m here during the Spring. He’s desperate for the 1600m and should get enough speed to suit.

Race 9
4.41PM Grampians Region Handicap 1100m
Predicted speed: Fast

12. DIVINE QUALITY
I’ve marked her as my best each way of the day. She comes against the boys but she is in fantastic form. She runs well at Flemington, she ran a solid 2nd over 1200m two starts back in Listed company. Beau Mertens stays on. She has drawn in but I’m hoping they go to the middle of the track by this stage of the day. On paper, there’s enough speed to suit her.

3. HUSSON EAGLE
He has a solid first up record and should get the speed to suit him here. He’s under the limit after Nathan Punch’s claim. He ran a strong 2nd first up down the straight last prep. He was only 3L off Sprightly Lass back in April who has beaten Santa Ana Lane.

15. YOU’VE BEEN HAD
His only top three miss was a fourth where he had a slow recovery, he was still only 1.7L off the winner. He is very consistent and ran a solid 2nd over 1000m last start when he drew the widest and got a long way back which is generally a big ask at Moonee Valley. Damien Oliver goes on.

SAVER
5. ROCKET TOMMY
He’s a Flemington straight specialist, even more so when it’s the last race of the day, as he won two in a row last year. He’ll be up near the speed, he has won over 1100m and will handle a bit of rain.

Moonee Valley 16-06-2018

Meeting: Moonee Valley
Rail: +4m entire circuit
Track at 8am: Soft 6

Race 1
11.45AM Ladbrokes Info Hub Handicap 1200m
Predicted speed: Not clear

3. TAHITIAN DANCER
She debuted well making ground late finishing 3L off Scottish Rouge who ran a solid 3rd at Flemington last week. She comes to fillies grade and will be better from that run.

2. ROYAL DUTY
She led the whole way second up to score by a comfortably 2.25L. That was on the synthetic. This is harder but she’s third up and holds race fitness and experience over many runners in this.

5. BLONDE CHOICE
She ran well on debut finishing only 1.5L off the winner and will improve off that run.

SAVER
1. KINGS BROOK
She powered home late second up winning by a nice 2.25L, that was over this trip. She looks smart and that was on soft ground which she will likely be on again here.

Race 2
12.15PM Friends of Epworth Plate 1600m
Predicted speed: Slow

1. HECTOPASCAL (NZ)
She has finished top two 5 times in her last 6 starts. She ran very well behind Jamaican Rain here a fortnight ago on soft ground and can go one better in this out to 1600m.

2. ANOTHER BULLSEYE
Forgive her run last start when she drew barrier 16 and had to do extra work. She has drawn well here and Damien Oliver goes on She has a solid 1600m record and should be up near the speed. Without a lot of speed predicted and a usual on pace patter when the rail starts going out here, she can be in the finish.

9. GOOD OH
She looks to have found form and this is harder but she looked good last start when stepping back out to 1400m. She sat off the speed in the soft ground and made ground to win by 1.5L. Beau Mertens goes on and she gets a bit of weight relief with the step up.

SAVER
5. LINGUIST
She had the right run last start over this trip and does run a solid 1600m. This is harder but she comes to fillies & mares company. She has drawn for a good run and can lead in this. She has the fitness and could take some catching.

Race 3
12.50PM Device Technologies Sprint 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

5. ARTIE DEE TWO
He is unbeaten over 1200m here from two starts and does run well in the wet. John Allen stays on from a solid effort last start finishing third after he was slow out of the barriers.

2. MOONLOVER
She has found form and comes against males in this but was a good winner here a fortnight ago. She handles wet tracks and 1200m is her best trip.

9. WIND FORCE
He’s third up here and can improve with the step out in trip. He was a good winner over this trip and in this grade here back in November. He handles wet tracks.

SAVER
3. BORD DE GAIN
He was a month between runs last start in Adelaide and was a convincing winner. Stephen Baster stays on here and he may sit a bit closer from the inside draw. He won at his only other start here, over 1200m back in February.

Race 4
1.25PM Silver Thomas Hanley Plate 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

1. BOGGOMS
He resumed over 1000m in a BM90 finishing only 0.6L off Falcool. Out to 1200m suits and he has won on a soft track. He comes back to BM78 grade in this and has a solid second up record.

9. MOONLITES CHOICE
She resumed soundly and has won second up. She handles all track conditions and does like 1200m. She comes back to restricted grade here but has drawn wide. She does tend to get back though so that’s no issue. She finished only 0.2L off Swampland last July who then placed in a Group 2.

3. WALL STREET WOLF
He’s at big odds here but can finish in the top three. He has a great 1200m record and the Norton bit goes on to help control any overracing. He has a solid second up record and Michael Walker goes on.

SAVER
2. KING RIVER
He runs well in the wet and four out of his total 5 wins have been over 1200m. He has a solid first up record and Fred Kersley goes on, his claim helps with the 60.5kg allocation. He was a solid winner over this trip back in April on a soft track.

Race 5
2.05PM Catanach’s Jewellers Plate 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

6. ASHLOR
He ran well here a fortnight ago just missing out on the photo. He gets a bit of weight relief coming to open grade. He has placed at all three starts here and Stephen Baster goes on. He maps well, he should get a nice sit just behind the main speed.

8. MALAISE
He’s a good fresh horse and has a consistent overall record. He’s resuming off two sound jumpouts and has won on heavy ground so soft should be no issue.

7. FALCOOL
He’d third up off two good runs. He dropped back from 1200m to 1000m last start and won nicely. He comes back out to 1200m here and Jamie Kah stays on. He has a good record on wet tracks.

SAVER
2. WIDGEE TURF
He’s in good form and has a good record here. He has won on both tries on wet tracks and back out to 1200m suits.

Race 6
2.45PM Epi Café Plate 1000m
Predicted speed: Even

2. SHOWPERO
She resumed with a nice win against males and has won second up though it was earlier in her career. She handles soft tracks well and Jamie Kah stays on. She should get a nice sit near the speed.

4. RILLITO
She is only lightly raced but has won half of her starts to date. She has trialled well and won well in town last year.

6. BALANCING ACT
She had the right run when resuming here a fortnight ago winning by half a length and Luke Currie stays on for this. Her second up record isn’t as strong but she does like Moonee Valley and 1000m is her best trip.

SAVER
1. DANCE WITH FONTEIN
She has a very good record over 1000m here and has won on a soft surface. She will be up near the speed and could surprise.

Race 7
3.25PM Embassy Print Solutions Sprint 1000m
Predicted Speed: Fast

2. MISS LEONIDAS
She ran very well at Flemington last week and backs up into this. She has the fitness and a solid overall record. Dwayne Dunn stays on. She won very convincingly in the wet two starts back.

8. STYLISH MISSILE
She’s unbeaten first up and did run well behind Tulip here back in February. She has drawn wide but there looks to be enough speed to benefit her. She was a winner in town first up last prep.

4. FLYING KRUPT
Her only top three miss was a forgive last July. She has a very good overall record and resumed well this prep running on strongly late. Regan Bayliss goes on and Phillip Stokes has a good record when bringing horses to Melbourne

SAVER
3. TARCOOLA SPIRIT
She’s a month off coming into this and did run very well last start. She comes back to 1000m which she has run well, and won, over. Damien Oliver goes on.

Race 8
4.05PM GJK Facility Services Plate 2040m
Predicted speed: Slow

1. LITE’N IN MY VEINS
He was a solid winner here a fortnight ago and can go on. He has drawn much better in this and meets similar conditions being on a rain affected track and Liam Riordan staying on.

8. HAVE ANOTHER GLASS
She ran over a similar trip two starts back in Listed company and won well. She then stepped back in trip last start and ran a solid second behind Tatoosh. She comes back out in trip here and gets a bit of weight relief. If she gets clear running from barrier 1 she should be in the finish.

3. SELF SENSE
He comes back to the flat after relishing the hurdles last start. He’s in fantastic form over the jumps and on the flat and has a great record in the wet. The blinkers go back on and this flat field has a lot less depth than he has been running in.

SAVER
6. MY NORDIC HERO (GB)
He ran a solid second here over this trip a fortnight ago and Michael Walker goes on. He looks to have hit form since stepping out over 2000m+ and there’s no reason why he can’t be competitive again here. He did run 2nd behind Boom Time two starts back!

Race 9
4.41PM Bidfood Travis Harrison Cup 1600m
Predicted speed: Fast

4. AKAVOROUN
He was my best each way chance last start and led most of the way holding on strongly for third. He’s getting fitter with each run back after the long break and looks close to a win. From barrier 1 he should get an easy run up on the speed.

10. MAGIC CONSOL
He’s very consistent and has finished less than 2L off the winner in his last two starts, last time being over this trip here a fortnight ago. Craig Williams goes on and he maps well.

12. SIXTIES GROOVE (IRE)
He ran well in his Australian debut and will be better for that. Regan Bayliss stays on and he stays down in the weight. The predicted fast tempo will suit him.

SAVER
13. TATOOSH
He was a comfortable and good winner a fortnight ago in Adelaide and steps out to 2040m which he has a solid record over. He does like the wet and Jamie Kah has been on him for his last two wins.

Race 10
5.11PM Epworth Medical Imaging Sprint 1200m
Predicted speed: Even

5. BEL SONIC
He has a very good overall record and is third up off two placings, the last being here a fortnight ago over this trip. He has drawn wide in this but will get back so it’s no problem. He likes Moonee Valley and looks a solid chance.

3. EGYPTIAN BULLET
She has won all three starts this prep including a strong win down the straight last start. She comes against males here but has the fitness and confidence to be competitive.

4. SAM’S IMAGE
He ran soundly here last start when stepping back in trip and back out to 1200m will help. His led the whole way in his only win here last October beating Nature Strip.

SAVER
6. SPIRIT OF AQUADA
He resumed this prep with a strong win here a fortnight ago and finds a similar field here. Ben Thompson is growing a good record on him and stays on. 1200m is his best record and he can definitely be competitive in this.

Flemington 9-06-2018

Meeting: Flemington
Rail: +6m entire circuit

He’s a good middle distance horse with a consistent overall record. He stepped out to 2100m a fortnight ago and ran on solidly to finish second behind Mazzuro who he meets here again but in better at the weights.
